The post features a photo of eight beaming and very pregnant nurses showing off their baby bumps. Each woman is shown holding a paper stating their due dates. Oh and the best part? They all work in the same department!
What is even more cutely astonishing is that the nine nurses are scheduled to usher their babies into the world between April and July. Only four months apart among nine expectant nurses.
One of the expectant nurses featured in the photo goes ahead to comment on the rare occurrence stating that the journey had been easier because they all were in the same situation. She further explained how hopeful it was seeing the other workmate progressing well and even found common topics to share during the breaks at work.
“It is really nice coming to work and seeing other people who are just as pregnant watching their bellies pop and just talking about these experiences that we are going through together” Amanda Spear told WMTW.
As for what the hospital is planning to do with so many nurses absent?
Many social media users expressed their worry about the lack of staff due to the pregnancies in the comment section of the post, to which the hospital responded:
“Don’t worry! We have a plan,”
If this story doesn’t leave you with baby fever, I don’t know what will. It’s a beautiful and rare occurrence at the Maine Medical Center and we wish all nurses a successful delivery period. Congratulations!
