Miracle Recovery: 92-Year-Old Woman Defies Terminal Prognosis So She Could Meet Her First Great-Great-Granddaughter

Is it possible that a cure to a terminal illness could be found in happiness? There is now proof to show this can happen. Jean Roper, an Alabama resident, has shown others just how true this can be.

Not too long ago, Jean was given a very grim prognosis of only 3 weeks at most until her life would end. She was in kidney failure and it was past the point of any doctor being able to save her.

Kayla Tracy, Jean’s great-granddaughter, remembers just how devastating the news was to their entire family. The whole family took it really hard. It was unbelievable that she wouldn’t be around after such a short amount of time.

They all considered her the heart of their family. No one knew but something miraculous was about to happen. Kayla’s sister, Amber Harris, had become pregnant. This would be her first child. She was excited to tell Jean about the baby as this would be the first great-great-granddaughter in her family. And that wasn’t the only news, Amber decided that the baby would be named after Jean.

The day after finding out about the baby, Jean started to improve. Kayla recalls that she was so excited about the news of the baby.

She was telling anyone that would listen to her. She also was stressing that she just wanted to live her life long enough to be able to meet the baby girl.

Jean and her husband, Edward, don’t have a small family. They have acquired 3 children, along with 7 grands, 11 great grands, and 11 great-great grands. The crazy thing is that most of the family are males, including all the great-great grands.

The thought that Jean would soon have a great-great-grandchild that would be a girl became some kind of mental medicine to her. She was also battling depression after her oldest son lost his life to the same disease that she was a victim of too.

And, just like that everything took a complete turn overnightThe precious baby, Magnolia Jean, entered into the world on January 21st. She has no idea now, but I’m sure her family will tell her one day of how she helped save her great-great grandmother’s life.

Jean admits that Magnolia definitely helped her pull out of the diagnosis and survive. She is now living her life in a pretty healthy condition, without signs of kidney disease.

She goes on today living a life full of happiness with her family. She recently celebrated an astonishing 75-year anniversary with her husband.Isn’t this so heartwarming? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comment section below, and pass this on to your own family.
